Young Researchers' Award

Winners


 

Six finalists were selected from a strong field of twenty-one entrants representing seven research institutions. The finalists each delivered a fifteen minute presentation at the Particle Technology Forum on 25th June. The winners were

First Roberta Pacciani Cambridge The effect of the concentration of CO2 on its uptake by Ca-based solid sorbents
Second Fernando Cardenas-Lizana Heriot-Watt Use of Catalytic Gold Particles to Promote the Ultra-Selective Sustainable Production of Aromatic Amines
Third Gareth Morris  Imperial College The effect of attached hydrophobic particles on the stability of thin films

Each year, the Particle Technology Subject Group of IChemE organises a competition for postgraduate research students in particle technology who have completed more than one year of their project work. Finalists gave a presentation at the Particle Technology Forum and the prize-winners were announced at the Forum Dinner on 25th June.

We are grateful to the Particle Technology Subject Group of IChemE and to Unilever for sponsoring the prizes.
